About the Role

The Associate Director of IT is responsible for overseeing the support and maintenance of the Network IT infrastructure including but not limited to: configuring email accounts, ensuring the Network website is active, coordinating the resolution of any IT related issues with third party vendors and supporting the MBA and EMBA communities with access to IT products and services offered by Network. The Associate Director of IT will also facilitate technology innovation and play a key role in enabling new digital services to the MBA and EMBA community. The Associate Director of IT will be a key member of the leadership team as a member of the Board of Directors.

Roles and Responsibilities

Task Description % of Role
Manage Website and IT infrastructure

Works closely with Communications Director to: 

    • Configure email accounts
    • Maintain website (inc. events registration, polls, etc. as required) 
    • Coordinate the resolution of any IT related faults
    • Remedy IT requests from Board members
Digital Strategy and Innovation

Research and test new products and services that may benefit members. Provide strategic recommendations on digital channels in line with the MBA Network communications strategy


Key Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Demonstrated experience managing hosted IT infrastructure including email, web sites, communications and marketing platforms
  • Excellent stakeholder management, leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Proven track record managing third party vendors
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • Current student within either the MBA or EMBA programs at the University of Sydney

Desirable Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Previous experience in project management 
  • Previous experience in brand awareness and/or event marketing campaigns 
  • Previous experience with Mailchimp EDM design and analytics 
  • Previous experience in social media channels, especially LinkedIn
